About Children’s Cove

Our Story

Founded in 1997, Children’s Cove supports children and families affected by abuse through a coordinated, child-centered approach.

Created through a partnership of Barnstable County Government, Cape Cod Healthcare, the Department of Children and Families, and the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office, Children’s Cove was established to meet a critical need in the community.

Today, Children’s Cove is the only organization of its kind serving the Cape and Islands. We provide forensic interviews, medical care, mental health support, community support referrals, and community education—all at no cost to children, families, or our partners.

Our Team

Children’s Cove employs a team of dedicated professionals to meet the complex needs of cases and this difficult issue.
