Education & Training

Children’s Cove offers free education and training to help prevent child abuse and support safer communities across the Cape and Islands.

Our programs are designed to meet the needs of both community groups and professionals who work with children and families.

Community Education

We provide free training to youth-serving organizations, civic groups, and faith-based communities. These sessions focus on helping adults:

  • Recognize signs of child abuse
  • Respond appropriately to concerns
  • Support prevention and early intervention

Trainings may include evidence-based prevention programs or guided discussions on child sexual abuse as a public health issue. Sessions can be tailored to fit the needs of your group.

  • Law enforcement and investigators
  • Mental health and medical professionals
  • Child welfare and victim advocacy staff

As a regional resource, we provide educational opportunities and technical assistance to strengthen multidisciplinary collaboration and trauma-informed practice.
