Get Involved

There are many ways to support Children’s Cove and help strengthen our community.

Whether you volunteer your time, support our mission through Friends of Children’s Cove, or attend an event, your involvement makes a meaningful difference.

Volunteer

Volunteers play an important role in helping Children’s Cove raise awareness and connect with the community.

Volunteer opportunities may include:

  • Staffing informational tables at community events
  • Sharing educational materials with schools and organizations
  • Supporting awareness campaigns and outreach efforts

Because of the sensitive and confidential nature of our work, volunteers do not work directly with children.

If you’re interested in volunteering, please complete our Volunteer Interest Form or contact Heidi Friedel, Community Programs Coordinator, with any questions.

Internships

Since Children’s Cove’s inception in 1997, we have welcomed many students to participate as interns. Children’s Cove offers unpaid internship opportunities for select High-School students in our community engagement program, Bachelor’s students in our direct services program, and Graduate students in our mental health program. Student interns become vital members of the Children’s Cove staff, volunteering weekly over the course of a semester or year. Our internships offer the benefit of training and experience working at nationally accredited organization serving the Cape & Islands community.

Potential Interns will need to:

  • Submit an interest form
  • Complete of application and submission of resume
  • Perform an in-person interview
  • Complete of background check
  • Be currently enrolled in an educational institution for academic credit

The work is very rewarding and we look forward to meeting and working with those who want to give back to the community. Thank you for your interest.

If you are interested in applying for an internship, please complete the Intern Interest Form here.
