Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC)

At Children’s Cove, the identification and safety of a child that is at high risk to be a victim of Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSEC) is a top priority. Children’s Cove believes that a victim-centered multidisciplinary team (MDT) approach for children that are at risk for CSEC is the most effective.

The role of the CSEC Case Manager is to work collaboratively with the MDT once a child has been identified or suspected as a victim of CSEC to ensure the safety, placement, medical care, mental health, and substance use needs for the child are addressed. The CSEC Case Manager provides continued follow-up with the child and family to provide support and services when identified. The CSEC Case Manager provides case consultations for caregivers and professionals when a child is at risk of being a victim of Commercial Sexual Exploitation.
